per Sandell:

The way they lost did not sit well with the Gophers. The players and coaching staff admitted in the months since that a lack of focus and resiliency was partly to blame.

In the immediate aftermath of the loss, Kill called a meeting with his entire coaching staff to figure exactly what had gone wrong. As a team, the Gophers vowed to not let it happen again.

That mindset has carried through into this season and has served as the backdrop for the Gophers in their practices leading up to their showdown with the Missouri. Whether or not it will be enough to help Minnesota overcome the Tigers remains to be seen, but Kill has been pleased with what he has seen from his team since arriving in Orlando nearly a week ago.

"I really feel good about our players," Kill said. "They've practiced very hard. We've had very good practices ... We feel very comfortable. We have a good plan. We just have to go execute it."
