Thoughts?

Not a whole lot to quibble with, though Andrew Wiggins (2nd team) and Marcus Smart (3rd) surprises me a little bit. Both are outstanding talents, but not sure they played consistently enough to earn those spots. And VanVleet is a nice player, but a 3rd-team All-American?

Gary Harris (MSU), Marcus Paige (North Carolina, I'll take his season over Smart's), and Bryce Cotton (Providence) are three guys that come to mind. And if Smart can be a 3rd-team All-American after getting suspended for 3 games, certainly there could be room for an Adreian Payne (missed 7 games to injury), the most versatile big man in the country. Who else am I missing?

Agree with your take on Wiggins and Smart, Sunday. I must have watched 10 KU games this year to see Wiggins and Embiid, and there wasn't one of those where I was impressed with Wiggins. He has the reputation and will be one of the top 3 players drafted whenever he decides to go to the NBA, but a second team selection is either a product of being overrated or a statement on the overall dilution of talent at the college level (or both).

I am a bit surprised that Embiid, who may be the top pick in the draft, wasn't even on any of the teams. When he was playing well he reminded me of a young KG.
