MYRICK TO SHRINE GAME

Myrick accepted an invitation to play in the 2017 East-West Shrine Game on Jan. 21 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla.

Myrick is considered one of the fastest players in the Big Ten, according to NFL.com. Myrick had 38 tackles and 2.5 tackles, with one interception and a team-high nine pass breakups.

Gophers cornerback Briean Boddy-Calhoun and linebacker De’Vondre Campbell played in the 2016 Shrine Game. Boddy-Calhoun has been playing well for the Cleveland Browns, while Campbell has been standing out with the Atlanta Falcons.

Go Gophers!!

The guy struggled this year, but you can't teach speed so i still expect him to be drafted provided he runs well. Just my. 02 without looking at his projected stock

I think it is tough to say he struggled. I think much like Murray last year he played solid man on man coverage for the most part and was able to take away the other team's best wr.
He does seem to have a hard time controlling his emotions at times.

I think the struggle comes from when he got burned, it usually was a big play.

His coverage skills were ok, not great. I thought he played like he didn't want to get hurt this year. His kickoff returns were a major disappointment. He always geared down and braced for contact around the 20 yard line. The only TD in the second half of the Wisconsin game that I would blame on the defense (not a Leidner pick) was the drive with the huge jet sweep run by Peavy. Go back and watch the play: Myrick had contain; he let the Tight end put him on roller skates all the way to the sideline. When Peavy cut it upfield, he had a 5 yard wide lane with no inside pursuit close yet. If Myrick took on the tight end or even dove at his feet, Peavy would have had to turn up sooner and inside pursuit would have had a chance. Disappointing senior season, in my opinion.

Every NFL coach thinks they can coach 'em up. Myrick has the measurables, so I don't see any way he doesn't get drafted. Probably a 5th or 6th round guy, don't you think?
