Missed Opportunities by both teams.

Arkansas - Dropped passes, failure to fall on the ball, and then failure to not scoop and score.

OSU - Didn't put Arkansas away when they had the chance.

Overall I am very proud of Arkansas. They showed a lot of heart by coming out in the second
half and manning up on Defense and Offense.

Very neat experience to watch this game in person. Atmosphere was electric.

In my opinion, the front 4 for OSU were the difference in this game.
All we heard was how great the OSU secondary is and I think we exposed that.
And we have a pretty damn good receiving core. (Minus the dropped passes)

I saw in a thread were Arkansas played dirty. I have the game on DVR and haven't watched
yet so I can't comment on that. I didn't see any on the field except for one of OSU's players
punching Mallett in the back once.

Hopefully Arkansas and Minnesota will meet in the Sugar Bowl soon.

And hopefully Mallett enters the draft. Granted he has helped us some this year but his
cocky attitude and piss poor late game decisions have hurt us also.

(Man I just wish we would have scooped and scored on that blocked punt)
But as I heard on an ESPN talking head show - That is why Arkansas isn't a great team.

Congrats on a very good season. I'm now an Arkansas fan big time. My granddaughter has just committed to the Hogs as a gymnast. She's getting a full ride and is now 100% pig! Soooeeey!

I had some good coin on Ark so I'm as pissed as anyone about the outcome. My responses to your comments at the top:

I kind of felt bad for OSU (not really), but by halftime, 3 of their 4 secondary starters were either out of the game, or playing with an injury. I thought Mallet would be able to do more against their backups but he didn't, so I was actually have the opposite feelings; he did expose their backups, but not enough and too late. Heck, I think they even lost a LB or two and Heyward messed up his elbow. I was just lovin watching all of them drop like flies thinking I was for sure going to win the bet.

I don't blame you about Mallet. Man that dude can fling it, but how poor are his mechanics under pressure? Wow. This was the first time I'm watched an Ark game this closely, but I can now see why he throws as many picks as he does. Plus, just seems to me like he doesn't have the "it" factor, as far as demeanor, to be a good NFL QB.

How about that blocked kick!!!! My God, pick it, its your ball anyway!! I agree though, its those kinds of plays that seperate teams. As Gopher fans we have seen plenty over the years.

In the end, fuc& OSU and the Ark receivers.....

My thoughts?

Why watch a NFL game when one can be fully entertained watching a very interesting and exciting game like OSU/Ark?

Because even the worst players in the NFL are better than 95% of the players in this game?

Deltahog, your starting center, Travis Swanson, is the son of a very good college friend. I told him I hoped Trav had a good game, but I had to pull for the Big Ten team. Congrats on a great season. This was a matchup of two ego-maniac QB's. They should have asked Pryor how much he was going to sell his MVP award for.

Thanks.

This is ironic. The guy who started at Center earlier this year, Seth Oxner, is the son of a guy I used to work with for about 5 years and still and still a good friend of mine.

That's awesome. Hope she enjoys Arkansas.

Thanks. It was a great season. Just hate to see it end the way it did.

Your boys were nervous. If they had some big game experience in them, no doubt they would have won that game. Also, that Heyward kid is pretty darn good. But looks like they've got a bright future.

Over/Under that's true?

I'd say the worst team in the NFL would beat either of these teams more than 95% of the time, but more than 5% of the players in this game will spend some time in the NFL. So...push?

100% of the time.. It wouldn't even be close.

The players in the NBA are much better than college players, but you won't catch me watching an NBA game.

+1. The the difference between college basketball and the NBA is >> then the difference between college football and the NFL. The NBA renders its regular season meaningless by playing too many games and letting too many teams into the play-offs. Therefore, on any given night you might get a 75% effort if you're lucky and no one plays any defense. How often do you see someone up 20+ in the second quarter yet it's a 4 point game with 2 minutes left?

At least NFL games still mean something, though I don't look forward to the 18-game schedule and most teams having 3-4 meaningless games at the end.
