Lots of great plays today but this reach to put the tip of the ball on the goal line for a TD was great.

BTW, shouldn't this have been a horse collar tackle?

Only if he tackled him with it. He took his hand off first.

"ARTICLE 15. All players are prohibited from grabbing the inside back collar of the shoulder pads or jersey, the nameplate area, or the inside collar of the side of the shoulder pads or jersey, and abruptly pulling the ball carrier down. This does apply to a ball carrier, including a potential passer, who is inside the tackle box (Rule 2-34).

Approved Ruling 9-1-15 I. As ball carrier A20 races down field near the sideline, defender B56 grabs him from behind by the back of the jersey at the collar or by the collar of his shoulder pad. B56 continues with this contact for several yards but A20 does not go to the ground until tackled by another defender. RULING: Legal play. B56 did not foul because he did not abruptly pull A20 down."

Found a clip:

That one also is a bit emblematic of the Defense's success later on putting pressure on.

They had blitzes dialed up all game but early on Rutgers was stuffing those blitzes, so when we got unconventional with them THEN we started having success.

The people in my row always have the option to make a "call". I made mine right before the interception. So....that was obviously my favorite play since I made it happen.
The interception was a beautiful play by Brown and assume a great design my Collins. AK thought Brown was in man and he wasn't.....so Brown ends up standing right where the ball is going and AK throws it right to him.

Then he runs about 100 yards to pick up 20 some :).

Brown is special.

Yes; that doesn't get said enough.

The Gophers are always among the least-penalized teams, and to me that is an example of good coaching.
I remember in the Kill days, couple times a game we'd have a drive die because a penalty pushed our offense too far back for ... Jerry's offense.

Can't afford to give up drives like that. PJ's teams don't.

My favorite play was the missed FG by Rutgers to seal it. Every single one of us was thinking they'd drain it and we'd lose in OT, even if only for a second. We're not the most optimistic lot, we Minnesota sports fans ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That INT return by Kerry Brown was a thing of beauty, as was the long strike from Lindsey to Smith.

Never had an ot game at the bank which is incredible.

After the ball flew past AK, I was pretty sure we had the game won.

I was actually pretty confident he would miss, the kick was actually closer then I thought it was going to be.

Of all the ways I thought that game was going to play out though I never would have guessed it would come down to a huge loss on a snap that somehow went right between AK's legs.

I get why Rutgers kicked there but a bomb to one of their big receivers probably had a better chance then a kicker drilling a 50+ yard field goal on the road as his first college FG.
