I gotta say, I despise the "We Hate Iowa" chant. Iowa is a nothing state. Why it deserves our attention, much less scorn, is beyond me. It's like chanting "who hates Albania? We hate Albania." And frankly, it does nothing but give the party that is the target of the chant a bit of thrill. For example, I went to Carleton, and our arch-rival is St. Olaf (we're actually competitive in almost nothing, as they dominate in sports, and attractive people, and we dominate in academics and drunks), but one of the major feathers in our cap was that we're mentioned in Olaf's fight song, which was awesome, because it showed a major inferiority complex. Or at least, that's what I tell my sisters who are at Olaf. The Iowa chant is kind of like that, in my opinion.

St. Olaf doesn't really dominate us in sports (anymore). Just sayin
