Copy of my email to Bruinicks and Maturi sent 5 minutes ago...I suggest you all do likewise...time to turn up the heat!!!!

"How long as a fan and financial supporter of the U and it's athletic department do I have to wait until you both make a decision to end this ineptitude. I know you are both short timers...but you still need to do your jobs!

I like Tim Brewster, have supported Tim Brewster and wished he would have had better success...but he hasn't and we need to make a change now.

Please announce that his tenure will end after the last game and begin the search for a new coach. Time to stop the bleeding and begin the healing."

Maturi is the larger problem.

Maturi himself said his "job was on the line" with the Brew hire. I hope a reporter asks him about that comment next time he has a press conference. I'd be curious to hear his answer.

Go Gophers!!

Might want to learn how to spell Bruininks first.

I emailed Maturi after the wisky game, telling him that if he doesn't fire brew, he is only showing that he deserves to be fired as well.

I got back from him, "I appreciate your support and thanks for your thoughts." And that was it.

I don't envy the position he's in. Then again, I also don't envy the position of a scared pregnant teenager.... but she thought she was in Love. Maturi thought he was in love too, after that Brewster interview. Both are tragic situations.

thank God Joel has his eyes on the Gopher women's rowing team

Continued sloppiness and poor execution on the team. Sorry Brew you were a breath of fresh air, but you need to go after the season. Maybe Maturi is on the next bus after that.

Good thing I didn't include his name in the email...and thank you for being johnny on the spot with the spell check...your input on this thread and board are incredibly insightful and greatly appreciated!

The real problem is within the University itself. I am convinced that the U doesn't want to be known for 'good' athletic teams. The University does not realize the importance of a successful football program....until the Board of Regents and the 'powers-that-be' come to realize this....the Football Program will continue to be the sludge on the bottom of the Big Ten. At this point in time...the University is happy to funnel $$ funding to all other non-revenue sports. If you notice...all of the revenue generating sports at the U are slipping. The non-revenue sports seem to be thriving. I'll hang up and listen...
