Three straight underdog B1G wins, two on the road and voila - 7-2, 3-2 and my dream scenario still in play. Win the next 3, go to East Lansing 9-2 with Sparty 10-1 and ranked high and just maybe, as double digit underdogs...again...get some love from the media (maybe even the GH nay-sayers) with a huge upset. Go to a nice Jan. 1 bowl, play well and win with lots of positive national attention on the Kill situation. Finish 11-2 and have a ton of momentum going into next year.

There’s another scenario that seems less likely, but works for me. Nebraska beats Michigan and Sparty, but loses to either Penn or Iowa. Or Michigan beats the Huskers, but loses to Ohio. Gophers win out, of course. Minnesota plays Suckeyes in Indy as huge underdogs and knocks them out.

In this scenario, Gophers would win as big underdogs in 5 of their last 6 games.

Doesn't hurt to dream, right? Those are mine. Yours?

I would love that to happen, but i not going to happen. Michigan State is going to beat Northwestern, They will beat Nebraska. I love to see Minnesota and Michigan State for the Legends division. But i just don't see it happening.

I just want to win next week and set up the biggest game in TCF Bank stadium history.

Playing tOSU in the B1G champ game would be awesome. If we won it, we'd be Rose Bowl bound.
So many things would need to fall into place, it would be highly unlikely.
It's cool to dream about it, though...

For all the Gophers & their fans, go ahead, DREAM BIG!!!
It's OK...

I love the progress of the team, but there are way too many factors that are out of our control. Plus, I think we struggle to run the ball against Wi. And MSU. I hope not, but they are very good against the run. They will both be very tough games.

BEATING WISCONSIN. THIS YEAR.

Yes. Except I'll throw in beating Penn St, having Corso, Herbstreit, and the fellas come up to Dinkytown, and then beating the skunks.

That is my dream scenario.

BEATING WISCONSIN. THIS YEAR.

This, all Gopher Fans are sick and tired of watching the damn Badgers walk away with the Axe. One other scenario would also be sweet. Gophers win out. MSU has one loss overall and zero losses in the B1G going into their loss to Minnesota. That would mean that MSU go to the B1G Championship Game and LOSE to tOSU.

tOSU goes to the National Championship Game and the Gophers, with the next best record, a record matching MSU but having beaten the Spartans, goes to the ROSE BOWL!!!!!!:clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:

:party::rockon::drink::drink::drink:

(Yeah, BCS rules probably prevent this and a whole bunch of schools would have to lose to change BCS rankings and who would play for the National Championship and…… It was a dream scenario right?)

How about this: The Gophers somehow win their way into the Big Ten Championship game and lose to Ohio State. The Buckeyes go to the BCS Championship game and the Gophers replace them in the Rose Bowl. I don't know if that's actually possible but it would be a lifelong dream come true.

I hear ya, but we came close to giving up a 24 point 3rd quarter lead. I hope we beat penn state in a packed TCF bank stadium. Please no repeat of Michigan ten years ago.

Biggest game ever in the bank on sat. Lets win that.

I think if we made the Big Ten championship game and lost, the Rose Bowl would take Michigan State or Wisconsin over us.

Ooooo. Good call, MrGopher!

? If that's the case they'd be taking a 2 loss Wisconsin or MSU team that both lost head to head against us? I would think that would be a poor decision, especially given the story the Gophers would be at that point. Not saying it's going to happen, but if we were to lose the BTCG and OSU goes to NC game, I think we would go.

A couple years ago the Sugar Bowl took Michigan, who had lost head to head to Michigan State, the Legends division champs, over the Spartans. I suppose you're right though, they might take a 2 loss Minnesota over a 3 loss MSU or Wisconsin.

Particularly if we beat both of them and MSU loses not only to the Gophers, but to tOSU in the Championship Game. Ah, but then those darn BCS rules come into play...:bang head:

Shouldn't the 2nd place team go to the Rose Bowl in that scenario? I would assume it would be an automatic that the loser of the conference championship game would go. At least that is what it should be in my opinion.

I don't think the Big Ten Championship runner up goes to the Rose Bowl. I only say that because some of my Badger friends told me local sports radio was talking about all of the possible ways the Badgers could still get to the Rose Bowl and that was one of them.

The loser of the B1G doesn't automatically go to the Rose if the winner goes to the BCS. However, I doubt the Rose would want Wisconsin for a 4th year, so it would be between Minnesota and MSU, IMO.

The B1G is not guaranteed 2 BCS spots. A 3-loss Gopher team would not even qualify (top 12) much less be chosen. Sorry.

My dream scenario is already coming true. We are making progress. I would like to see the bank one day filled to the rafters with all maroon and gold.

Go Gophers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a new dream scenario. Jerry Kill personally delivers the game ball from beating Wisconsin to Paul Allen and tells him to eat sh!t.

That would be insane... LSU and Texas A&M also play that week, as well as Baylor and OK State. You never know though, with one of the biggest rivalries in college football.

lol. Um, doesn't sound like Jerry. Maybe we need to open a dream-torture-media thread...

Yes, this.

I'll add to it - Tim Brewster comes up to recruit Ragnow & Jones....takes in the game with Maturi. We see their mugs on Kiss Cam. This would be awesome.
