The same is true regardless of Dasher's playing status.
Nobody outside of Middle Tennessee was going to give us any respect for the win anyway. Even if Middle Tennessee actually IS a good team, the win would still be derided as "A win against a second tier directional college."
We are not at the end. It's game week. This is here. This is now. I will review the record for the season when the season is here. Right now, I'm excited about a Gopher football game.
Remember when we supposedly beat OSU 'without Evan Turner' even though we definately beat OSU WITH Evan Turner? We just need the W, no respect either way.
Exactly. My Badger co-workers assumed this was a 1-AA team. There isn't any glory to be had regardless of how good MTSU might have been with Dasher.

Fadger co-workers confussed about who or what a non-conference game is? If I had never been to South Carolina, I would have never known who or what Wofford was.
Best part about this game? It kicks off in the very first timeslot on the first day of college football! I'm a college football junkie and would have watched anyone play. Instead, it gets to be the Gophers.
Same is true for the Vi***gs (censored so as not to incite the ire of Vi***gs haters on the board).
I wonder if it's ever happened that the Gophs and Vi***gs were the first overall games of their respective levels.
All I know is that I'm pissed that the Vikings will be playing a friggin' pre-season game next Thursday. That can only take away viewers from the casual Gopher fan base.
I didn't even know they were playing until one of my buddies pointed it out.
People might tune in to see Farve for a few minutes.
I don't think the Vikings game will cut too much into the Gophers. I just looked at Stubhub, they have tickets for the Vikings game starting at $1.97. Lots of tickets for under $3.00. People might tune in to see Farve for a few minutes.
