has to go to Arkansas-Pine Bluff, aka, UAPB. Me thinks UAPB is going to make a little money for its program with all the "buy games" on this schedule. Not a single home game.

at Colorado (Big 12)
at Denver
at UTEP (should be top 3-4 in C-USA)
at Akron (last year's MAC champion)
at Arizona State (Pac 10)
at Michigan (Big 10)
at Oklahoma State (Big 12)
at Georgia Tech (ACC)
at Missouri (Big 12)
at Kansas State (Big 12)
at Oregon (Pac 10)

Is that the whole non-conference schedule? Do they really not have a home game?

I do not know what they get for a guarantee from the host school, but to me, it is obvious that the guaranteed income for their overall athletic program is gonna be well over $1M.

WOW...

That is correct. They don't have a home game, at least according to their web site.

Wow, their first home game isn't until the middle of January! How rough is that.

I heard Wisconsin tried to schedule them, but they backed out because it is too tough of a place to play.

Not to mention the benefit these players receive by playing in front of large hostile crowds and handling the pressure of these quality teams. A great recruiting tool for this small college that they play in impressive arenas against good teams. It's a win-win-win situation ($$) for them even though they may lose a lot of games. Well -paid cannon-fodder.

IS UAPB in an auto bid conference?

If so...overall schedule means nothing...win their conference or conference tournament and they dance..so a million bucks, great prep for the season and they can lose all those games and still dance...maybe not a terrible strategy.

Yes.

Overall schedule means nothing.

Thanks, I'm aware of that.

I would disagree that the non-conference schedule means nothing.

Gaining confidence. Preserving health. Making sure players don't miss so much class that they have at least enough success in the classroom to stay eligible. Maybe having some home games for your fans. Those are all important things.
