A couple thoughts;

1) The storming of the field was awesome.
2) The cold felt like homefield advantage for us.
3) As the Iowa fans were leaving with their heads down it was fun thanking them for coming to
the game and spending their money in Minnesota and wishing them a safe trip home.
4) The defense came up big, especially Edwards and Collado.
5) Weber had a solid game and so did our entire offense.
6) There are numerous reasons Brewster was fired but one of them is because he didn't use MG
at QB. MG proved that he is a man amongst boys by plowing through Iowa's line in important
sitautions. If Brewster used MG alot more at QB this year he would still have a job.
7) Whomever becomes the coach of the Gophers has to center the offense around MG at QB.
He is the real deal.
8) Overall, going to the game and watching the Gophers win and grab the pig and run around
the field with the fans was a special memory that I will not forget. They overcame so
much adversity this year and it really was a special moment.

All the no-shows missed what I consider one the top ten games I have watched during my five decades of being a Gopher fan. Mrs Bayfield and I had a blast and it was fun going on the field to celebrate with the players and let them know how happy we were for them. I was looking for Coach Horton as I wanted to shake his hand. It was great seeing fans lined up to get pictures with players who were finally getting the attention they truly deserved.

Without a doubt that will be remembered as one of the all time great games. Considering our recent history in rivalry games, it was worthy of a field invasion.

My wife & I said on the way home, simply "that was a really fun game." Getting a win was even sweeter, but just the overall whole night. The lights and the night for the 2nd half, the whole crowd into it (I honestly think the visiting side of the stadium in the lower deck never sat down in the 2nd half). Cold weather football is great. As my wife also said on the way home, "this is the reason why we show up every Saturday, even though 8 times out of 10, we probably will be disappointed. For days & nights like that. It makes it worth it."

And I still think he should be fired, but I have to give props to Dave Lee, when listening to the post game show and hearing his call on the fumble. Hearing his excitment when he screamed that the ball came out, it was awesome & genuine.

Can't Argue With Your Post

I'm a season ticket holder also and found this exciting upset win, likely the best I have attended ever as a Gopher Football fan.

Quite frankly, the most disappointed I have ever been was the 2003 Friday night "Michigan Meltdown" when the Gophers gave up a 21 point 4th Quarter Lead to end up on the losing end.

Nothing against Glen Mason really, but I think this defeat, was the start of the end of his Minnesota coaching career.

I feel sorry for all the folks who sold/gave away their tickets...NOT!

You really screwed up! You missed one of the best Gopher games in quite some time.

Thanks to those in 213 who sold your tickets to Hawkeye fans...most of them were very pleasant and I got to watch the dejection of the ones that weren't...PRICELESS! It was kind of funny, two Iowa fans in front of me actually called the last Gopher TD and comeback win.

Thanks to those Gopher FANS who came out and cheered on our team...what a great college football atmosphere!

Completely agree with everything said. Last nights win/field invasion/touching Floyd was certainly the best win I've ever seen and has completely reenergized me as a fan.

I couldn't say it better. I've seen some amazing wins and heartbreaking losses the last few years, but last night was different for some reason. Maybe it was the desire to see something good happen to our squad after this season. I am really eager for next year already.

This was the best game I've ever attended during my time as a Gopher fan.

I drove up from Kansas for the game and convinced my dad to go. Kept telling him they were going to win it -- what a great game. Went on the field and got a couple cool pictures with my phone. Great day to be a Gopher fan.
