I may have to agree with you. I was rooting for them, but something about them just irks me.

The shortstop was quite the actress. Smiling all the time, slapping hands, talking to the pitcher after every single pitch, to the extent it was delaying the game. She was going to make darn sure she received plenty of air time & of course ESPN obliged.

(for the PC crowd) This is not said in the "literal" sense -- striking a child or woman is the lowest form of human being -- but I wanted to wipe that grin off the shortstop's face. What a phony baloney she was. Good riddance to Georgia; it would have made me puke to see them win the title.
