WR Garrett Embry had been dismissed from the team over this; will Oregon do the same with Masoli? RB LaMichael James is scheduled to appear in court Friday over his domestic assault case. Chip Kelly must be dying.

I think it was Frank McGuire who, when asked why he quit coaching college basketball, said "It's hard for me to ge along when I have a 19 year-old kid running around with my paycheck in his back pocket."

Judging by the last couple of months it looks like Dungy has his work cut out for him with Oregon.

This should be fun. So what does Chip Kelly do? Recently he was so fed up he kicked a WR off the team for saying offensive things on facebook. With the sudden lack of institutional control, Chip Kelly has suddenly tried to take a harder line by doling out more severe punishments. But now his starting senior phenom QB is the one who is guilty.

Without making a personal judgment on what is right or wrong I would wager that Kelly finds a way to punish his QB without kicking him off the team.


You've gotta hand it to this current Oregon squad. They seem uniformly focused (unfocused?) on winning this year's Fulmer Cup.
 



While the Ducks have had a tough off season, I've gotta say I'm a little impressed by Chip Kelly's actions. It takes balls to suspend your starting QB, who led you to the Rose Bowl, for the whole year.
 

One correction

Masoli pled guilty and was sentenced. Suspended for one year, both by the court and coach.
 

I can't believe anyone is impressed that Masoli was suspended for a year. He plead guilty and should be kicked off the team entirely. But here we have Kelly talking about using a redshirt to orchestrate more playing time for Masoli while keeping him on scholarship?

“He does have a redshirt season available to him if he chooses to do that,” Kelly said.

Disgusting.

And how effin' stupid do you have to be to steal the same kind of computer that your effin' Athletic Dept. practically provides you with? And here's the funny part: the Macs that the football players get at Oregon...they have the "O" logo on them. And it's not only because it looks cool, but... and here's the funny part... the "O" acts as a theft deterrent.

As far as I'm concerned, Chip Kelly and the Oregon program are complete garbage. Trash.
