Certainly a lot written about the disappointing performance of some of the seniors this year. I commend senior Mo Walker for his effort and commitment in turning himself into one of the Big 10's top centers in two years. His early years were a wasted period of development because of his weight. The coaches showed him the path and he made it happen.

Kudos to Walker for his contributions to the program, commitment for 5 years, and becoming a quality contributor. As with all our seniors, I wish him good luck. The OP makes me cringe, though. I watched every game this year, and ... top-5 center? Center play this year was perhaps my biggest pet peeve with this team...with 2 fifth-year seniors, I felt going into the year that our center play should be a nightly advantage, and instead it was usually a liability. Eliason didn't develop and/or had his confidence killed, and Mo...provided a couple scoring bursts but more or less was overrated on offense by rubes just looking at scoring avg, and a "black hole" when receiving the ball. Pet peeve is people falling in love with a guy's scoring average and ignoring number of attempts, TOs and a zillion other factors that make a player good ... in this case, offensive rebounding (bad), passing out of the post (bad), hands (bad), defensive rebounding (below average), rim protection (bad) and defense (below average). And the 6-game marijuana suspension last year may well have cost us an NCAA tourney berth.

I think by the middle of next year, we will be getting better center play than we had this year.
