Not sure if this has been posted but its not listed yet on the Gopher schedule.

Glad to see an early start which makes it much easier for me to take the trip.

Yep.
Wisky, Illini, SDSU and Iowa.

OSU/IU game has been scheduled for a 6PM BTN start 10/3 when we play Wisky. So that could mean that game will be 11am unless ESPN or one of the networks picks it up. Maybe more informed schedule/TV guru's can comment.

Does anyone have info for start times of the other home games? I see Air Force is 6pm, Cal is 11AM, Purdue is 11AM and MSU is 7pm. Is there any info out there on the other home games?

I hope to God we don't get stuck with a bunch of 11AM games again this year. They are such a buzzkill.

There are a lot of possibilities left for the Wisconsin game:

11:00 BTN - TBD (Northwestern at Purdue possible)
11:00 ESPN - TBD (Northwestern at Purdue possible)
11:00 ESPN2 - TBD (Northwestern at Purdue possible)
2:30 ABC -
2:30 ESPN -
2:30 ESPN2 -
6:00 ESPN2 -

6:00 BTN - Ohio State at Indiana
7:00 ABC - USC at Cal
7:00 ESPN - TBD

My guess is that this will be one where they do not announce until 13 days before the game. This is because there are two other games that have yet to be scheduled which could be very good (Penn State at Illinois and Michigan at Michigan State). It all depends on teams' W/L record and ranking coming out of the 3rd week of nonconference play.

Arkansas State is at Iowa on that date, so there is at least 1 game we are guaranteed at getting a better time slot than.

My suspiscion is that Iowa/Arkansas State will get places on the BTN at 11:00 am, Northwestern at Purdue will be on espn2 at 11:00 and the three remaining games will fight it out between ESPN at 11:00, ABC at 2:30 and either ESPN or espn2 at 2:30.

With Penn State @ Illinois and Michigan @ Michigan State as the remaining options on 10/3, I'd say chances are we'll be playing at 11 a.m.

I agree completely....

I hate those 11:00 AM games. I know TV trumps everything and it won't change but I just don't like games starting that early locally.

A couple points on the schedule that day of MN-WIS:

1) I'm almost certain that if ABC has a game at 2:30 that it is exclusive. No games on ESPN/ESPN 2/BTN at that time. So, that will limit the time slots considerably. Plus, ESPN2 has a 2pm NASCAR Nationwide race scheduled that day anyway.

2) Remember, the 11am time slot for the BTN can have MULTIPLE games. I'm guessing that IA-Arkansas State will be an 11am BTN "overflow" game that day, along with ANOTHER 11am game on BTN "primary" game that day.

My guess is:

11am - BTN - IA-Ark. St. (overflow)
11am - BTN - Northwestern-Purdue (primary)
11am - ESPN - Michigan-Michigan State
11am - ESPN2 - Minnesota-Wisconsin
2:30pm - ABC - Penn State-Illinois
6pm - BTN - OSU-Indiana
7pm - ESPN/ESPN2 - (this could be a Big Ten game)

just did a quick southwest search. a guy could leave at 7:55am and arrive at midway at 9:20. Then hit a return flight from midway at 6:00pm arriving in msp at 7:25. doable? cutting it too close? very tempting. $69 each way

You'll be lucky to catch kickoff. Count on 90 minutes of train rides to Evanston.

Easily 90 minutes, maybe more. The ride itself from the loop to Evanston is a buzzkiller.
