MN HS Football #22 in Nation

Wow

Ranked ahead of Alabama, Missouri and Hawaii?

Ranking MN at #22 is too high - when you are surrounded by #27 WI, # 31 IA, #46 ND and #50 SD it stresses the need to recruit outside of the upper Midwest - perhaps half of the class could come from the Midwest if you include OH, MO and IL.

Without Henderson we would probably be closer to WI and Iowa in the rankings.

Remember they're talking about high school football not D1 recruit factories. Strong high school football programs are why the MIAC is a strong DIII football conference. North Dakota when it was dominating in DII did it with teams largely made up of MN players.

There are 8 states worse than Alaska. That's true "ownage".

If you read the article, it clearly states this is just based on the year 2009, which means Seantrel has a ton to do with bumping that up. What happened in the last 40 years, North Dakota in the 80's, etc., doesn't have to do with the ranking.

Having gone to and played HS football in Virginia near DC, I can tell you that VA and MD have by far more talented HS football teams than MN.

I think MN is a very overlooked football state and will keep producing great Gophers in the future!

Haha wow, South Dakota is dead last...that's pretty rough...

Minnesota #22? Ya, right. And I have more money than Warren Buffett. The city of Dallas produces many times the D1 players of a MN. In fact, Skyline HS in Dallas will sometimes outproduce the state of MN. Crappy HS football.

Dallas would outproduce a ton of states. Once you get past the top 5-10 states in the nation there are a lot of places that don't play particularly great football.
