The University of Minnesota’s police department has responded to fewer calls on football game days despite the addition of alcohol at TCF Bank Stadium in 2012.

Through three games this season, 21 incidents have been reported. Nineteen were alcohol-related, and 12 involved University students.

Go Gophers!!

yawn. find something else MN Daily. there wasn't a "crime" issue to begin with on game days. so reporting on such just seems pointless, imo.

Completely disagree. One of the major anti-alcohol arguments was that it was going to cause more trouble with drunken idiots doing stupid things at games. The fact that the number of incidents has actually gone down with the introduction of alcohol is a story that should be publicized.

There were 3 drunks thrown out of my section in separate instances last Sat night. Record for my section. They were all soooo wasted...great humor watching drunks trying to walk up steps while being pushed by police.

I'm guessing crime will be at an alltime low this year with Iowa and SIN-BAD being off the home schedule.

The Badgers just threw out 119 people AT THE LAST GAME. For anyone who wants to complain, that's what a problem looks like.
