per the Daily:
Pitino’s first year was Jerry Kill’s third, and in Year Three, football is finally relevant on campus again. Minnesota won eight games, rattled off its first four-game Big Ten winning streak since the 1970s and beat traditional powerhouse Nebraska for the first time in 50 years.
It’s unclear whether the football team will build on its strong season, but it was nice to see some culture and atmosphere at TCF Bank Stadium.
That atmosphere, in turn, spread across the rest of the campus. And Gophers fans had something to cheer for all year long.
This is my last column ever for the Minnesota Daily.
That said, I had a helluva time this year writing about the events every student on campus got to enjoy.
Ya feel me?
