For those of us that have been looking for an increased level of discipline, the penalty numbers are improving slowly but surely.
In BT games so far, the last 4 games:
vs Michigan - 9 - for - 74 yards
vs Purdue - 6 - for - 74 yards
vs Nebraska - 5 - for - 55 yards
vs Iowa - 4 - for - 40 yards
Nice to see improvement in this area, improving every game. The ones today were killers though; with the game still scoreless, offsides on Bunders turns 3rd and 1 into 3rd and 6; Punt. The pass interference against Lewis in the end zone that was unnecessary; Iowa later scores. The offsides on Rabe near the goal line, negating Gray's TD. Fortunately they scored a few plays later.
Weekly improvement. Always nice to see in a rebuilding year.
