Missourian: Bowl overload be damned; nothing could wash away Gopher fans' excitement

Minnesota fans, especially, seemed thrilled at the Gophers' bowl selection. Hundreds of them packed Orlando's Hyatt Regency Hotel on Wednesday morning while sporting maroon-and-gold gear. A half-dozen kiosks were selling official Minnesota Citrus Bowl merchandise.

Folks from the Great White North filled the hotel pools along International Boulevard, swimming as it rained all day.

Bowl overload be damned; nothing could wash away these Gopher fans' excitement.
