Missouri, Minnesota coaches eager to make recruiting mark during Orlando bowl trip

Kill, meanwhile, said Minnesota's scheduled appearance New Year's Day — it's first since 1962 — has already paid dividends for the program on the recruiting trail.

"For recruiting, it's going well and when it was announced it picked up more," Kill said. "It's a step in a big direction for our program."

And he had nothing but praise for caliber of talent available in the state adding, "I don't think there is any question about it. A state full of great athletes. It helps those players identify with Minnesota."
