On a 1-5 basis, what is your feeling toward our next opponent

On a 1 to 5 basis - where is your hate for our next opponent?

We know very little about Missouri, so I thought it would be good to test our "Hate" for them as an opponent. There is wisconsin/iwoa hate (we know how deep this runs) and then there's TCU hate (whom I dislike because they're an opponent, but actually like them a lot).

One week from the game, I'll post this same poll and see if our sentiments have changed. Right now, I'm running about a two.
 

I am closer to the TCU level.

But then again I am not from Northfield.

I chose 2 over 1 just because they are in the SEC.

No hate. Wish we could have pulled them into the Big 10, along with Kansas, instead of Rutgers and Maryland. I quietly wish them success in the SEC. But make no mistake, I won't like them come January 1.
 

1. Outside of hoping we wipe them clean on Jan 1, I've always kind of like them. As I've expressed elsewhere, I really wish we could swap them/Kansas/K-State for PSU/Rutgers/Maryland.

And why is Iowa State only at 2? My dislike of them is far stronger than Nebraska or Texas Tech.
 



Just a 1 because they're i. The SEC. Otherwise it'd be a zero.

Texas Tech sucks (read bowl game threads from 2 years ago). Agree with you on Nebraska, I have no problems with them at all
 

I'd love to kick Penn State out of the B1G and take Missouri instead.
 




I'm starting to feel more hate with the lack of respect shown on other sites, not as a reflection of the posters here (so far).

I'm gonna let this stew for a bit and vote closer to the game.

You don't have a family in Texas (none of whom went to or are from Lubbock) and/or a wife who was an Aggie. Just ask TexasAggie11 and he'll learn ya'.
Not to mention that their fans were insufferable leading up to the bowl game. I mean, sure, we can be a little out of control and a little unreasonable here sometimes, but there's got to be limits!

Right, I don't really know anyone from Texas. I've only been there once and that was San Antonio only. Thus, I have no strong feelings about the people there.
 


It is place I would not want to live. It is the beginning of hillbilly country.

I told a buddy at lunch this VERY same thing today.... Mizzou and Kansas. Not those other two.
 


Thanks for not hating us too much. I've always liked Minnesota for some reason. I guess I can relate... I know you guys have a tremendous history, but over the last several decades you've had to fight the true Blue Bloods like the obnoxious Michigan and tOSUs... We've always struggled against Nebraska, Oklahoma, and later Texas. I see us as brothers in the fight against the pompous a$$ holes. And my like for the program definitely increased after you hired Jerry Kill. I knew that was a home run hire.
 

This will be one of the few times I have watched Missouri and cheered against them.
 

I have 88 responses which should be good enough for a 95% confidence interval. Thank you all for participating.

I will put this same poll out the week of the game and try to evaluate the data. My guess is this board is full of crazies (me included) and the Hate should intensify at least 50%. Right now; the hate is running at a 1.68 so in we're not even in the Iowa State category.
 

Coming from Nebraska, Missouri feels like an annoying mosquito. You try to ignore it, you swat it, sometimes you smash it, and sometimes it bites before you can catch it leaving an annoying lingering itch.
 

Where is Aggie? I look forward to witnessing Mizzou fans in person. How's your band? I am hoping there's a battle of the bands!
