He said that no one with "personal conduct" issues could be hired.

No, it wasn't.. but he listed 'absolutes' they were looking for in the new hire, and 2 of the three mentioned were no serious NCAA violations and no social issues. Both marks on Leach.

So yeah, he might as well said they didn't even sniff Leach.

In his opening statement he said one of the qualifications was that the person have no history of character issues, basically saying the Adam James incident precluded him.
