bench side manner, I can see where he would rub some mommys and daddys the wrong way.
 

I worked in the western suburbs for awhile, specifically with prep basketball teams and players, and I can say that John was one of the toughest guys to try and communicate with after a game if he lost.

You can throw in "before the game too," and "even if he won" as far as I'm concerned.
 

Coach Hedstrom

I've known Coach Hedstrom for nearly 20 years and am shocked that anything would happen where he'd have to leave Minnetonka against his own will.

he's a great coach, loves his kids years after they leave his program and teaches many life lessons.

The loud cheer you heard when this was announced was from local refs... Tool is the adjective I got most...

It happens - people talk about how high school players act on the court now compared to 20-25 years ago. You see it with coaches.. Coaches get caught up in the hype and drink the kool aid.. some think they are the next Mark Few or Jamie Dixon.... Coach your team and dont make a spectacle on the court... Coaches think they are part of the show and people are there to watch them.... some refs are guilty of that also... just my two cents... Idiot parents dont help either!!!

So, he was fired for being a jerk?

There had to be more behind this than that.

IMO.
 


I have heard he has a history of treating bball players differently than kids in other sports when it comes to underage drinking violations and things like that. Maybe that finally caught up to him.
