A comment on another thread about the Bison not having any ND natives got me thinking about the days when the U usually only had one or two Minnesotans on the roster. In the 80's, it seemed to be pretty common practice that Dutcher then Clem would basically take the MN Mr. Basketball or other top player and that's about it. In fact, that one guy might have been the only D-1 guy in the state some years. The quantity of quality players in the state has really changed.
I'm sure this topic has been convered in the past, but does anyone have a link or data about the number of MN guys per year on the roster? I know under Monson we once had an all MN starting 5.
