"Minnesota and Indiana haven’t met on the gridiron since 2008. That match-up featured two lame duck coaches, Tim Brewster for Minnesota and Bill Lynch for Indiana. Fortunately for Minnesota, someone had to win the game and it was the Golden Gophers. Minnesota 16, Indiana 7 in Minneapolis."

Actually, at that point, Minnesota went to 5-1 before scoring Brew's "signature" win @ Illinois the next week. His seat was never cooler than it was during that stretch of time before the NW disaster. He was most definitely not lame duck, that's for sure.

Another tidbit: since 1969 the Gophers are 2-16 at Indiana - and it's not that they had great teams. It has been a tough place to play.
