TaShawn Thomas, who played for the Houston Hoops this summer, burst on the national scene and dominated throughout the Nike EYBL and AAU National Championships in Orlando. In the first two rounds of the Nike EYBL earlier this year, TaShawn averaged 9.3 rebounds and 2.3 blocked shots per game.

Hoopmasters' comments - He has the tools to be a defensive stiopper at the next level, he has big bounce, quick feet on the blocks, and great timing on shot block. His offense is just starting to come and he could make even more strides in college.
 

I can't believe the state of Texas has a top 150 prospect list for Basketball.
 


Scout has had his offer list at: Minnesota, Memphis, Texas Tech, California, Colorado, etc.

I did a Google search for his name and a Gopherhole thread came up from a few weeks ago.

When I talked to TaShawn about a week ago he claimed offers from every school on his list except for Memphis and Cal. Not sure what has happened since then, but that would confirm a Minnesota offer unless there was some sort of miscommunication with the staff.
 

I think Mbwake joining the team is changing the recruiting focus. Can focus on players where impact won't be needed for a couple of years, that need development, but have a good upside.
