“@GophersNow: Canadian target Xavier Rathan-Mayes seems like a bigger version of Devoe Joseph. He's definitely a scorer. -- http://t.co/RxidSskh”

He is currently a rivals 4-star and number 66 player overall.

Listed at 6-2, 175.

seems like a bigger version of Devoe Joseph...Listed at 6-2, 175

Bigger version? If anything, he's almost exactly the same size as 420 was when he got here.

Then again, I've never given Marcus any credit for his intelligence.

Far Bigger.... ?Must have had major growth spurt last week! Tubby has real tough competition for this kid.

To clarify, the 6-2 and 175 was his listed height and weight on rivals.

Did you also watch 3 of his games in person a week ago? You really think he's 6'2" 175? I'll go with 6'4" 200.

Minnesota is a bit late to the party. Numerous high major offers prior to the AAU season starting, but he's had good showings in each of the last three weekends and keeps adding high major offers. When you first look at him, almost appears a little chubby / not toned... but, he moves fine, although there isn't much explosiveness.. I think he can become quicker.

Undoubtedly he's a great shooter... scores in bunches... deep & mid-range alike... for a few minutes he'll get on a roll and seem automatic.. like "no one is stopping this guy right now" automatic.. if he can prove to be more consistent, he could be a very nice player.

Late to the party has usual for the Gopher staff.

To me, this sounds identical to Julian Welch. I've never seen the kid play, but Julian sure was a polarizing player last year.
