Minnesota/Iowa gametime

Iowa ran 19 plays in the second half last night.

One was a kneel down
2 were passes

defense will need to be tough against the run and tackle well. Expect the annual big screen play from Iowa at some point.

One thing they do a lot of is play action where Gronowski has the option to run a lot. We know they will throw the ball to the tight end, and run the counter to the left side.

Iowa's TE1 is out for the season and nobody has picked up the slack. 20 combined receptions on the season and 0 TDs.

I know, but they always pull those play action passes to the tight ends against the Gophers. I expect them to try what they always do, except this time Gronowski is gonna run out of the fakes.

The Gophers get more national TV exposure than the Vikings during Big Ten season

I would love to understand how the gametimes are decided.

I know the current TV deal has three major TV partners in FOX, CBS, and NBC, and there is some process whereby they get to pick games for each week. And then they have to slot those games into their available timeslots.

Isn’t it just Fox picks for whatever time slot then CBS and NBC for theirs, rinse and repeat?
