They are Clay Matvick, Anthony Becht.

Not Beth and Joey, so immediately it's not as bad as it could be

Clay Matvick is a former FS North announcer and generally not bad.

Beth and Joey are calling Rutgers and Nebraska game, they are the ESPN2 team.

Clay Matvick is just as bad as Beth/Joey.

I like Matvick. I believe he's from Princeton, IIRC. I bet he does his homework as he knows his hometown state will be watching and listening intently.

We were both in Mass Comm at SCSU. Nice guy.

I don't get ESPNU on my cable system, so I can't watch the game. Looks like a fun day of refreshing the ESPN gametracker. I'd go to a bar if I could, but I have to be at a HS FB playoff game Sat afternoon.

just add it to your package for one day and then cancel it. won't cost much at all. they will just pro rate it to youe bill for the one or two days that you have it.

Or stream it online. Firstrowsports. ESPN3? BTN2Go?

Ya, that's my plan. I'll add it on Friday just to make sure there are no hiccups, and then call and downgrade immediately after the game.

Double post.

I don't think it's on ESPN3. I think it's just WatchESPN. ESPN3 wouldn't require a cable subscription to view. I only see ESPN U. The screenshot shows all the 12:00 EST games on Saturday.

WatchESPN delivers live access to ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN3, SEC Network, SEC Network +, ESPNews, ESPN Deportes, Longhorn Network, ESPN Goal Line and ESPN Buzzer Beater on computers, smartphones, tablets and TV connected devices.

ESPN3 is a live multi-screen digital network that provides thousands of live events annually, as well as replays of recent ESPN events. I don't think their is a espn3 anymore. If you go to espn3.com, it take you what is Watchespn.

ESPN3 and Watchespn are the same thing. From what i heard.

Slightly different. ESPN 3 does not require a cable subscription to view their events. It only requires you be on a University Campus or have a participating Internet service provider.

WatchESPN requires a cable tv subscription from a participating provider. WatchESPN basically allows you to watch ESPN, ESPN2, etc on your computer.

ESPN3 has a lot more events but usually none that you'd want to spend time watching. They are basically two services fused into one website so it appears that they are the same thing but they are still separate.

You can try to watch an ESPN3 event and it won't ask you to authenticate with your cable provider. Try turning on Monday Night Football right now and it will make you sign in with your cable provider.

I would take Matvick over Anthony Lapanta in a heartbeat...including for Wild games.

Matvik is decent.
While Lapanta is horrendous, his Wild partner (Greenlay?) is the most biased commentator I've ever heard.

More than Dick Bremer?

Yes, he is.... Brady Quinn was far more knowledgeable about us in the TCU game than Clay
has been in his two games he's covered with us...and he's from here.

This is correct.

On my WatchESPN app, if a game is available both over-the-air and on ESPN3, it would be listed twice: once as on ESPN3 and once with the channel it is airing on. As of midnight Tuesday morning, the Illinois game is listed as only being available on ESPNU, meaning you have to have a cable package with the channel in order to view the game through WatchESPN.

Refresh my our memories, which two Gopher games has Clay worked??
