Thanks for the link! Impressive to see Rhodes pick up a nice review on ESPN.

Good to hear. I wasn't familiar with Rhodes, he sounds like someone to keep an eye on.

Received a little more information regarding the weekend and camps that Brookins and Rhodes attended.

Kierre won Defensive MVP at the Top Prospects Invitational Camp in Angola, Indiana and Keelon won Defensive Back MVP at the Nike Invitational in Champaign, Illinois, which were held on back-to-back days. Both attended each event.

Rhodes' footage looks pretty good (mostly of him playing RB, and not CB where he won the camp MVP award), but he is TINY. From watching the film, I'd say 5'8", 160 might be pushing it.

Scout lists him as 5'9", 170; Rivals lists him at 5"8", 165; the link above lists him as 5'10", 170. I would tend to trust the link from this past weekend, I don't think it's unrealistic to think he's had a little growth spurt.

Rhodes won the defensive MVP over ESPN 150 linebacker Jaylon Smith and a host of other top Midwest prospects. Rhodes also did it in front of several college coaches in attendance.

I'm impressed that Rhodes got MVP. Jaylon Smith is a Notre Dame commit with offers from Alabama, USC, Ohio State, Florida, Michigan, Auburn, Oklahoma, etc.

On the link about Jeff Jones, I thought it was interesting that the writer talked about him as though he was a wide receiver, when he's listed at running back. I also don't think the writer knows the definition of "on the hoof."
From the blurb:
A good looking prospect on the hoof, Jones also proved to be elusive after catching the football.
On the Hoof: 1- Livestock not yet slaughtered. 2 - (informal) without great thought or preparation.

In that context, I don't think he meant to say Jones looks good without great thought, but that Jones looks good running without the ball. Also, the whole comparing athletes to animals thing during a workout veers into "recruiting is creepy" territory. (c) Spencer Hall.

Has anyone been to a Johnson game this year? I wonder how he's doing; he certainly performed well at some camps.

Rhodes broke his leg in August and is out for the season.
