Thanks ILH finding and uploading this podcast. Although we may never know the full story, it is very telling about the challenges a team in transition faces with a new rookie head coach.
It is a tough adjustment to a new system. However, IMHO there is a silver lining in all these. They are learning through adversity with Powell and Scalia getting a head start in gaining experience going into the home stretch and into next season. They need a break somewhere along the way. Lindsay Whalen is learning a lot too. Hopefully, one of the lessons is to figure out how do de-escalate a situation. No one person is bigger than the team.
You never know. Maybe they will get a chance to upset a team like Maryland or Indiana before the season is done. They've got three pretty decent players signed for next season plus Kadi Sissoko who is sitting out this year. Let's hope that Sconiers, Cumming, and Ross are able to get back this season and play. Are all of them out for injuries? They seem to have a tough time against teams that have tall interior post players. They need to recruit some height, but more importantly get 6' 2" Sconiers, 6' 3" Cumming some playing time at some point in the season. Let's the 6' 2" Bello sisters get hot in addition to 6' 2" Tomancova going.
There is hope for the future.
