Minneapolis Southwest Dominique Dawson is going to be walking on to the University of Minnesota. I know Dominique Dawson personaly and he is a great kid. Tubby Smith was at his game when Southwest played South on Thursday night.

Does anyone know if Dominique has any full-ride D-I offers? Is he saying he's definitely going to the U?

No other offers. Was considering Hamline.

I can't say I know a whole lot about the kid, but I love to see a local kid try and walk on. They play and practice harder than any schollie players for the most part. He could join a pretty elite (relatively) group of big walk ons: Rychart, Puchtel, and Hagen (I'm not completely sure Hagen was a WO). If he doesn't contribute right away, hopefully he makes the rest of the players better.

Wasn't JAS a walk-on originally? Maybe I'm wrong, but I think he only received a scholarship in his 2nd semester of his freshman year.

Yeah, JAS was a walk-on. We've had some pretty good ones over the years. I think Hagen was a walk-on at one point, as was Brent Lawson.
