Mike Ellis, who spent 19 years as a coach and administrator at Virginia Commonwealth, will join new Gophers athletic director Norwood Teague as senior associate athletic director. After spending 13 years on the VCU men's basketball coaching staff, Ellis worked with Teague as deputy athletic director.

He joins David Benedict, another former Teague assistant, who was named executive associate athletic director last month."

Maybe in 4-5 years when Tubby retires.

And even then, I highly doubt it. He turned down Illinois, a much better basketball program in the same conference. So why would he come here?

But hey, at least you got your Tubby shot in.
