Michigan on Thursday announced it will play Florida in the 2017 season opener at the Cowboys Classic in Arlington, Texas. Here's the interesting part:

Michigan twice has played Florida in bowl games, most recently in the 2008 Capital One Bowl, Lloyd Carr's final game as Wolverines coach. Florida will venture out of the Sunshine State to play a non-conference game for the first time since 1991 (!).

Yes, Florida doe have Miami and FSU instate, but they haven't even ventured OUT of Florida to play a Non-Conference game for 23 years! Doubt that many of their Bowl Games have required their fans to "travel" either.

Why in Dallas (neutral site)? Will they sell that thing out? It must be due to neither team wanting to be the road team?

Sounds right. Florida wouldn't agree to a "Home and Home" with Michigan but with Jerry writing a big check they agreed to a "neutral" site.

It's an annual game now, always the first weekend of the season and always at Jerry World and always held in the primetime slot.
