Nick Oddo (Ohio State), Sam Warning (Minnesota) and Zach Nagelvoort (Michigan) claim weekly honors
Ohio State forward Nick Oddo, Minnesota forward Sam Warning and Michigan goalie Zach Nagelvoort have been named the Big Ten’s Three Stars for the week ending Oct. 27. Each week throughout the 2013-14 season, the Big Ten will name a first star, second star and third star to honor top individual performers from across the conference.

First Star
Nick Oddo, Ohio State
F – Jr. – Omaha, Neb.
- Tallied three points (two goals, one assist) to lead the Buckeyes to a weekend sweep of Robert Morris
- Only conference player to register multiple goals on the weekend
- Recorded three points in come-from-behind victory on Friday
- Cut the deficit to 2-1 with his first goal of the contest, then put the Buckeyes ahead for good with his second goal, which made the score 3-2
- Matched his career high for points in a game
- Earned his first career weekly honor
Second Star
Sam Warning, Minnesota
F – Jr. – Chesterfield, Mo.
- Notched three assists as Minnesota claimed a win and a tie against No. 5 Boston College
- Tallied an assist during Friday’s 3-3 tie
- Recorded a pair of assists in Sunday’s 6-1 victory
- Finished the weekend tied for the national scoring lead with 12 points (five goals, seven assists)
- Extended his point streak to six games
- Earned his third career weekly honor and first since being named First Star on Oct. 22, 2013
- Last Minnesota honoree: Sam Warning (First Star) and Justin Kloos (Third Star) on Oct. 22, 2013
Third Star
Zach Nagelvoort, Michigan
G – Fr. – Holland, Mich.
- Made 52 saves while posting a .945 save percentage and 1.51 goals against average (GAA) in games against No. 13/14 Boston University and No. 18/rv UMass Lowell
- Made 18 saves in victory over Boston University on Friday
- Tallied a career-high 34 saves against UMass Lowell on Saturday
- Leads all Big Ten goalies this season in save percentage (.947) and GAA (1.47)
- Claimed his first career Big Ten weekly award
- Last Michigan honoree: Tyler Motte (Second Star) on Oct. 22, 2013
