per the Michigan Daily:

The Michigan Daily: You’re considered one of the best running backs in the country. How exciting is that as a senior?
David Cobb: It is, definitely. It’s been a waiting process, and it’s been hard. (Minnesota coach Jerry Kill) says it all the time: hard work pays off. He’s never given up on me since day one. I’ve got a lot to prove, so it should be fun.

TMD: You’re from Texas. How did you end up in Minnesota?
DC: Early on, I had a couple of small Texas offers. My first offer was Stanford, so I was leaning toward that, but with the coaching change, things changed up. I got a call from Coach Kill, they brought me up on a visit, and they told me that if I came here, I’d have the opportunity to play as a running back. That was the biggest thing for me, I didn’t care where I went. I just wanted to play running back. The rest tells itself. He always kept his word to me.

TMD: From a national standpoint, people might know Kill because of his seizures and medical issues. What’s he like from someone who knows him well?
DC: Yeah, it definitely can be puzzling to see. But Coach Kill, he’s doing great. He’s a fiery type of guy. From 6 o’clock in the morning to 9 at night, he keeps the same fire and intensity. And he cares about us so much — sometimes too much — and he worries about us. But he trusts us, and he’s doing good. He’s back to his old self. We know he’ll be fine.

TMD:If you had the Little Brown Jug for a day, what would you do with it?
DC: If I had the jug for a day? I’d take a couple of selfies with it. I’d Instagram it. No filter, old school. Take a couple pictures with my teammates with it, send them around the state, then keep it in my locker for them to look at.
