He looked o.k. last year, is he done? What gives?

Yes, he played substainially against nebraska. Pretty much the whole game on defense Thought he played quite well against nebraska. Didn't seem him on defense against Iowa though

He doesn't like contact, and not a very good tackler. Being a fair cover guy and a puss won't get you far with this outfit!

As opposed to the fantastic tacklers we have in our secondary now?! Can't say I agree with your argument on this. I think he should be playing more. We need coverage guys. My guess is he still has some academic issues that are unresolved. He did have those problems at the end of last year.

I thought I saw him on D vs Iowa but Johnny Johnson was out there more.

He does seem pretty soft in the tackling department, which is surprising considering his gene pool...... but as far as I can tell the only defensive player we have right now that's a horrible tackler and is afraid to get hit much less hit someone is Christyn Lewis. He reminds me of the 7th grader playing ball his first year, runs up to a player and forgets what to do, so avoids contact.

Lewis just bounces off guys. It's hard to believe it when I watch him, but I agree with you Gopher28. It likes he sprints up to the guy and then stops and says to himself "what next?"

Carter's a mystery. I've never subscribed to the "stars are everything" school of recruiting, but when you have a kid like Carter who had a great offer sheet, you have to wonder what happened. A lot of people appear to have been off-base.

Royston, Henderson, and Johnny Johnson have been the only physical d-backs all year. Carter is starting to get some PT though so maybe he will come around and be the star we all want him to be.
