is there a possibility that he could de commit from Miami after the sanctions? just curious

I thought the sanctions were just on the football program.

No. Three schollys - I think over the next three years for BBall. However, it looks to me- from a roster count like Miami has enough shollys for this fall's commits- even if one is taken away for this incioming group. So - it seems doubtful that this would affect Newton unless there is more to this.

yea its 3 schollys over next 3 years but even if they did have to drop a player newton is their highest recruit so im sure it wouldnt be him

I don't believe anyone thought they would pull his scolly. Bigger question; would he reconsider if they were band from post season play for 'x' amount of years... I haven't heard any specifics aside from this post, that must not be the case?

no postseason ban as they self-imposed one a few years back. just loss of schollies basically

I don't this he'll decommit. Even if he does, I don't think he'll come to Minnesota. Best let this ship leave the bay and focus on other players.
