Gophers SOS and RPI looks like it'll continue to go up as Memphis just got a nice win in Knoxville over Tennessee. Moving forward, I think Memphis will go 14-2 in the Conf USA and wind up back in the top 25 by Selection Sunday and likely to get a 4 or 5 seed.

They could easily wind up 28-5 heading to the big dance.

I saw Memphis live twice in Bahamas and a good portion of a game on TV, and they look talented but undisciplined. They play in a weak league and if they get it together will be team no one wants to play in March.

Talking about undisciplined, how about those Tennessee uniforms? Wow. You'd think that SEC teams would try harder to make it less obvious that their conference is a joke.

I agree, moses. I also believe that as the season wanes, the WIN against Memphis will prove to be a big RPI builder that will help us come Selection Sunday. Meantime, our Gophers have to take care of business now in the B1G.

Go Gophers!!!

I am under the impression that a win against Memphis is always a good thing. They always seem to beat up on CUSA, which leads to a pretty respectable RPI.

Teams who look like they'll help Gophers' SOS: Duke (duh), Memphis (will destroy C-USA), North Dakota State (Bison headed toward a prime Bracket Busters matchup?).

Still TBD: Tennessee State (3-0 in OVC so far), Richmond (hopefully Spiders go at least 8-8 in solid A-10), Stanford (Cardinal looking decidedly mediocre after 0-2 trip to USC/UCLA), USC (signs of life with Stanford/Cal split, plus recent win over Dayton), North Florida (3-1 in Atlantic Sun).

Have been a major disappointment to Gophers' SOS: South Dakota State (already 2 games behind NDSU in Summit, including a loss to South Dakota).

Amazing that USC beat Stanford. I would never have predicted that. Memphis is much better with Joe Jackson playing. He is super quick. Not sure why he was struggling early in the year.

Johnny Dawkins

If Stanford has a bad year in the Pac 12, Johnny Dawkins would at least be on the hot seat. Like most of K's understudies (other than Mike Brey), pretty unimpressive head coaching record. But at least he had the nuts to leave the nest, unlike lil' tirds Wojo and Chris Collins.

You can't blame WoJo and Collins for staying...1 of them will be Coach K's replacement.
