Travis Busch. If we would of had him throwin the ball in we win.

I blame McKenzie.

Pretty sure I saw him take an ill-advised shot in the possession prior to Keaton Grant's jumper. Or did I see him in the audience behind the bench?

So confused after these close games.

Seriously, Joseph?

All he did was play about 37 minutes (20 in the second half) out of his natural position against one of the best defenders in the league. Busting his ass. Made some nice shots, some nice passes, only had a few turnovers.

I would say Al Nolen. No ability to trap without him, and forced into playing zone, which gives up some open threes.

I'll pick Joseph who shot only 3 of 11, missing the big shot at end and missed front end of 1 and 1. Second choice tie with Westbrook and Iverson.

I blame Vincent Grier. If he still had eligibility left we would be sitting pretty right now and be a lock to get in the tourney. I actually loved Grier and his unorthodox game, the guy knew how to score and willed the ball into the basket

Wade Hokenson's Facebook status mentioned that Kris Humphries' dad was a distraction all week at practice.

If your blaming it on Grier I'm gonna go ahead and blame it on Humphries. A lineup of Joseph,Grier,DJ,Sampson, and Humphries with Blake, Westy, Carter, and Iverson coming off the bench would have easily won this game.

Not a player, but I'm gonna go the Kentucky route and blame this one on Clem.

I'll go with Miles Tarver. He had a horrible mustache. And bad hair to match.

I am also blaming Zach Puchtel for sucking and Rick Rickert for thinking he was better than he was and Kris Humphries for being a dickhole.

Trent Tucker. I saw him walking out after the game and he wasn't looking happy so I'm just assuming he did something to make us lose.

Randy Carter. He kept lurking in the stairs near S114, R24. Made everyone nervous.

Wow, I haven't heard that name in a while. Isn't Zach the Gopher who came out as gay or bisexual? He must have blew you off one night for you to be so upset with him.

can I take this back? I think Trevor Mbwake made even less of an appearance tonight than did Royce

actually can i take this back? I heard that Sid H. passed gas just as Devoe Joseph was releasing his "game winning" shot, distracting ever so slightly our future Canadian star (wait till next year, you Devoe Joseph critics)--resulting in a slight misfire and our heart wrenching loss to the B-makers .

Kevin Burleson. How do you throw it away under your own basket with under 10 seconds to play???

Ill go with Adam Boone (the Golden Gopher Alumni Spotlight), if he would've taken some time to head down to the locker room and put on that #31 jersey again and drain one more three there might have been a mob of students on the court.

There definitely would have been a mob of students on the court

nope, I was just picking on the tall white guys and Jeff Hagen was already taken and I can't think of the tall dude who sucked in the 90's that had a blond flat top.

I appreciate the fans who understood the sarcasm and humor intended by station19. I especially like rccola's observation of Trent Tucker, lol. minus a few posters who actually call out our players, this post made me laugh about the game yesterday!

IMHO I think it is John Wooden's fault. just think how we could have closed that game last night if he hadn't turned down the U 62 years ago and gone to UCLA instead. in fact, since it was the weather that kept him from coming here, I think we should just blame God for our loss to Purdue.

I've actually been surprised at the lack of meltdown on here...I thought we'd have threads about people jumping off bridges.

It seems most on here are pretty realistic with our team, and our chances. It sucked losing, but this team definitely has turned a corner in the past couple of weeks...and that gives me hope that we can continue playing well for the rest of the year and into next year.

The lads are growing up in front of our eyes :)
