CFN is first out of the gate:

What’s Going To Happen
Expect a whole lot of big plays and a whole lot of offense, with more of it on the Purdue side.

The Gophers were able to rise up and surprise at home against Indiana two weeks ago, and they’ll be motivated at a whole other level in desperation mode, but that defense isn’t going to be fixed with one firing.

Fearless Prediction
Purdue 44, Minnesota 34

Go Gophers!!

Watch CC and company fly all over the place making plays and wreaking havoc on Blough. One can dream.

I can't see any way we stay within 10. I'd expect more like 44-7.

Athlon chimes in with a more in-depth prediction:

Final Analysis

Things are definitely going in the wrong direction for Minnesota right now. Bowl eligibility seems to be an uphill climb as the Gophers have not been able to stop many teams from moving the ball. The change at defensive coordinator isn't likely to change their defensive fortunes anytime soon either.

Additionally, Minnesota has turned the ball over 17 times in six Big Ten games, more than any other team in the conference. Plus they're banged up on both sides of the ball.

Enter Purdue, one of the nation's most explosive offenses and a team that has pulled off big wins and still has a realistic shot at winning the Big Ten West title. This is just one of those games where it doesn't look good on paper for the home side.

The Gophers may catch a break with the conditions, but even if the freezing temperatures slow down the Boilermakers' offense, they should be able to make more than enough plays to get the job done.

Prediction: Purdue 44, Minnesota 23

Go Gophers!!

There is some trap game qualities to this one for Purdue. Coming off a stretch of tough games, facing an opponent that is really struggling, and looking ahead to a big matchup with Wisconsin next weekend. If we can manage to stay in the game early anything can happen.

Trap game....totally called it :cool02:

In all honesty though I thought we might be able to compete but I never in a million years would have predicted what just happened. That was awesome.
