He would NOT qualify as a Tubby hire. First off, he's a dick. He's arrogant as hell and he was as average as possible while at Colorado. He tolerated players harassing the female kicker in an awful story. I knew the parent of a player that almost played for him and so heard the information from the parent's mouth. Not looking forward to him...

I could not care less if the guy is a dick. Most good coaches are. If four division titles in seven years is average, sign me up for average.

Out of curiosity, who is the guy you would like to see hired (realistically, of course)? You seem to have a lot of problems with most of the names who have been thrown out, and I am interested as to who you have in mind.

Clearly Barnett is not a candidate to fill the open HC position at Minnesota! Again, lots of baggage that the U of M doesn't need to get involved with.

Don't you think that is why they have hired Dave Mona on special assignment to work on how Barnett and the UofM spin the "Katie" issue. Barnett has paid his dues and has spent a three years or more setting up a foundation and working on his PR image. Its time some big time program give him another chance and the Gophers are going to do it!

why not look at it

I dont see why he shouldnt be considered....We are looking for someone with HC exp. under their belt and he does. Not to mention the guy was successful and has payed his dues. we know he can run a program and won't do anything stupid again because he knows he is under a microscope...Not saying he should be our guy, but IMO he should be considered.
