Everyone who would like Maturi to be fired or resign can just forget about it. He was extended so that the U wouldn't have to hire a new President and AD at the same time. Maturi's contract expires 6/12, it's timed so that the incoming President has a chance to get acclimated, before he has to do a major hire. The way things are set up, President Kahler will get to hire his guy, as soon as he's comfortable. Count days if you have too but Maturi is gone in about 18 months.

I think most people acknowledge that he will not be fired and most also don't expect him to have the common courtesy to step up and resign. He is merely riding this job
out until retirement and simply collecting a paycheck. Let me know when he finally gets around do atleast getting some blueprints finalized for an practice facility, after all in the time it has taken him to not accomplish this there have been other programs that have drawn plans up, raised the money, and broken ground and Joel cannot even get a drawing done.

Just because he won't, doesn't mean he shouldn't be.

He can't even get the spin after the fact right. Remember your lies Joel, it makes the sell easier rather than harder.

When we do hire a new AD, I hope we'll transfer Bob Nielson, already a UM employee, to the job.

He should have been fired years ago. That said, there's no point in firing him now. It should have been thought through whether it was in the best long term interests of the University to fire Tim Brewster during this time of change (President, A.D.).

There are enough torked off gopher supporters that are threatening to cancel their ticket and support for the pgm. that the only way to get them back and support Kill is for new Pres. Kaler to make his first action on July 1 to fire matrui! Many will not support Gopher Athletics as long as Maturi is there. Right or wrong, THAT IS THE FACT!!

Whether people like or dislike JM it has become apparent that that there is a huge disconnect with many fans, alumni, season ticket holders and boosters that can not be repaired.
