Regardless of whether "the rumor" is true, Maturi will have to address it some time soon.
There are a number of things he could say, I would think the most likely would be:
1) It is obvious that we are not headed in the desired direction, so Brewster has been advised that he will not be the HC in 2011. or...
2) I know that there have been rumors/speculation out there, but nothing positive can be gained by making coaching changes at this point in time.
When is the earliest that people think we will hear some kind of official word out of the athletics office? The latest.
I would think that the earliest could be this evening (but I doubt that it would happen until tomorrow afternoon so that he and Brew can have a private chat first). I think the absolute latest we'll hear anything would be Monday afternoon.
