The Gophers did find a way to win at the end of the day, and they have no reason to apologize for it. Northwestern is by far their best win of the season. The Wildcats were physical, they played disciplined, and gave the home team everything they could handle and more. Coming off consecutive wins versus Penn State and Wisconsin they rolled in with a tide of momentum and should be a team to contend with the remainder of the Big Ten schedule. With wins over nominal teams in the nonconference season and a sub-par Michigan team, the Gophers finally have a win that required their best when they needed it.

As I read the story I began to think if Winona has Matt Krier, why do we have Soupcan? Matt shows the ability to be a better writer, than most at the Star Tribune. His construction, and points are well constructed. Thanks for posting this.

One thing the Winona Post could do is update the background. They are using the Dump.

I actually emailed them about updating the background cuz I thought it was so heinous. I was told that the background was an "editorial decision" and my complaint would be directed to the appropriate people. Oh well...
 

Yesterday, Northwestern found out what speed is. Road Runner style. BEEP BEEP!!!

To be fair, my 10-year old neighbor would be better at the strib than Souhan. Actually tho, I agree with you Husker. I have been reading most of the Winona's paper's Gopher articles this year. Good read. Matt points out our faults while still enjoying the wins and not reading too much into single games or series. He wouldn't fit too well on GH.
