Match 6: Gophers host LIU (9-12-24)

The LIU Sharks are 1-6. They opened the season with losses to UConn, Sacred Heart and Youngstown State before defeating Quinnipiac. In the next three matches LIU was swept by Tennessee, UCLA and Rutgers

Good match. A lot of people got to play. The reserve players did a great job. I wish they would start the season with matches like this one rather than jump into the fire. LIU played well and made the Gophers focus and work.

I think everyone played save for the red shirts. Like the St. Thomas match things went sideways when McGhie and Crowl subbed in. The Gophers got some work in facing LIU's sometimes wicked top spin servers. Another night to be thankful for the Pav's air conditioning
