Chris Hassel, the guy who's tweet Bleed found after the Iowa game is at again

Way to continue to conveniently ignore the calls your Hawkeyes got in that game to even allow them to get to that point. Way to ignore that there were still 20 seconds left in a two point game at the time of the jump ball call. Way to ignore that the game went to two OT's after that point, so your team had two other chances to win the game. Further, where is your replay of the out of bounds call that gave Iowa possession against Purdue? That easily could have been whistled a foul on Iowa and was certainly out on Iowa. I guess you expect every call to go your way?

After losing to Wisconsin yesterday I didn't see any posters, much less ESPN personalities, post screen shots of the Mason "foul" at home against MSU, the controversial ending to the game at Ohio State, or Ethan Happ hooking his way to multiple crucial buckets in an overtime loss. You see Chris, the Gophers easily could have ended up better than 11-7 in conference and they didn't have the benefit of playing Rutgers and Nebraska twice like your beloved Hawkeyes.

Eh, he's a fan. Most are crazy and irrational.

They keep ignoring that Jok was allowed 1800 fouls in that game. He should have fouled out before they made their comeback.

Exactly. Obviously, it was the refs and NOT the Iowa defense the allowed Mason to tie the game. And the refs who prevented Iowa from making the game winning shot in regulation. And when Coffey got whistled for a B.S. foul on Jok in the second half that sent Jok to the free throw line for two gift points...well, that had nothing to do with the game being tied at the end either, right?

I love how fans will remember and whine about the games they felt they were screwed out of. But how quickly they seem to forget/ignore the games where a blown call went in their favor and helped them win.

Hassel is apparently that kind of crybaby.

Picking out one play/call in a 40 minute game to pin the result on is asinine!

Let's cut this guy some slack. He's a reporter and an unbiased journalist.

Just another example of "The winners sit and shoot the schidt while the losers yell 'screwed by the refs' ".

Is he related to Fran, looks like spitting image of Richie Rich's father/Fran FrizzleFram in that video when he's giving his son(?) a five....

Why do we still care about this? Why did we care about it in the first place?

Another perfect example of why complaining about officiating is for losers. I despised Badger fans for crying about it after the national title game and i despised it when Gopher fans cried about it after Sunday. The officials really do the best they can and it is a really difficult job. When they are nearly perfect they are invisible. When they are not , the missed or bad calls are darn close to even. As a former competitor i was taught to always move on to the next challenge. I never see eye to eye on the losing teams fans in regard to calls. In breaking down game tape in slow motion i am not seeing 98% of the bad calls that fan bases are screaming for.

Jordan was OOB. And Fran should have been T'd up for his tantrum. Which would have given us FTs to tie the game AND the ball back.

He will be fired from ESPN soon anyways...then nobody will care.

Someone tell him that Iowa won a tournament game last year because of a missed call.

I think there is a big difference between complaining about the refs and blaming them for a loss. I agree it is a tough job. I personally just want consistency. Unfortunately that doesn't always happen.

My other issue is the flopping that goes on. I get frustrated with the officials but at the same time it probably isn't easy to determine how much of it was a flop. I would like to see the NCAA go towards some kind of warning, then suspension for players that flop badly.
