Marz to UW

Thanks. We were really starting to get big heads around here. As you can tell from the 2,600 threads condemning the program/demanding Brewster's termination that we're all really happy with the direction of our football squad. I appreciate you stopping by here today and helping us keep some perspective.

I guess that's why you call MN in-state recruiting. You've got us at college football. Enjoy..

Another guy you never really wanted to come to Minnesota chooses to be 4-0 against his home state. We really like Gilreath, Anderson, Sorenson, Allen and Dehn on the team now. Wish Kelly was healthy as he could give them a big lift. Today was another statement in the "Minnesota is in-state" discussion.

You are kidding right? The only kid you mentioned that might have made an impact for the gophers is Sorenson. The rest are a dime a dozen in Minnesota.

Gee the Gophers or South Dakota State Boy classless brent did a great job.

Talk to us after we have a new coach... maybe we'll have a little more fight in us.

This is why you guys lose at football. You don't even recognize the talent in-state, then bring them onto win.

Gilreath and Sorenson are OK and Allen could be, but not much to brag about. Ferentz just stole 2 top Wisconsin recruits in both 2010 and 2011 classes so you should probably worry about locking down your own top players first.

then bring them onto win-madison english major?

If you are really trying to have a discussion about MN recruiting, it could be a pretty interesting thread. If you are just trolling, I wish I wouldn't have wasted my time.

But, I actually beleive that your premise is entirely flawed. I can't think of many players from MN who have been succesful elsewhere (who we didn't show any interest in).

Gilraeth, I. Anderson, Allen, Dehn, and Marz were all offered from the U. So we obviously recognized them as talented players, they simply chose to go to a better program.

Alexander Robinson was offered, Michael Floyd was offered, Binns was offered, Henderson was offered, etc.

For me, the problem is that we simply aren't a good enough program to lock down our borders and get all of the players that really want from MN. I don't think it is a problem of not recognizing talent.

allen and dehn I believe had sconnie ties and mason didn't offer anderson because he didn't think he was good enough. anderson's best play today-the block in the back where he had to run 20 yards to do it

Actually, WE don't do this. The COACHES do. Good attempt at flaming however. It was almost memorable.

Gilreath ending up at WI had a lot to do with the coaching change with Mason, and neither he nor Anderson are really good players. Dehn and Allen are WI kids. Dehn grew-up in WI and had family connections and Allen's parents are UW alumni, and he grew-up a Badger fan. Is this the best you can do? Bielema offered and wanted Edwards, Gjere, Hageman, Maresh, Jacobs, Crawford-Tufts, etc. If WI and Bielema had any talent at getting MN kids, they would have landed the big AA recruits, - Henderson, Floyd, Carufel, Mobley, etc.

The grand experiment - to determine whether Wisconsin fans could be classy enough to deal with having a decent football program - is over.
