per the oft-read Marysville Advocate:

How strong are you? How much do you weigh? How fast are you? Do you wear cleats? Who are your best friends?

These were some of the questions on the minds of Marysville Elementary School kindergarten students last Thursday when college football player Garrison Wright visited their class, taught by his mother, Laurie Wright.

Wright told about playing football in the Dec. 27 Holiday Bowl in San Diego. He is a member of the Minnesota Golden Gophers team, which beat Washington State in the nationally televised bowl game.

He showed the students his official souvenir bowl football jersey, and some of the students tried it on. Others who were sporting Minnesota team T-shirts got autographs from Wright on their shirts.

He signed cardboard cut-out footballs and read books to the class.
